Arthur Thomas Jeffries, 74, of Fayetteville, WV passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the Bowers Hospice House. Arthur was born May 15, 1949 on Laurel Creek Road in Fayetteville, WV to the late James and Elsie Jeffries.
Arthur was a former roof bolt cutter and a logger.
He loved the outdoors, animals, hunting, fishing, and his family and dear friends. Arthur loved telling his hunting and fishing stories, joking, and picking on his friends and family. He was truly one of a kind, his children will always remember him best for his great bedtime stories.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stevie Jeffries, and his wife, Linda; 3 daughters, Holly, Crissy, and Teresa Jeffries; and a son-in-law, Billy Peerce.
Those left to cherish his memory; sisters, Alice (Billy) Higginbotham and Rose (Darrell) Odell; a brother, Jackie (Christina) Jeffries; daughters, Barbara Peerce, Tammy (Dan) Nelson, and Stacy (Anthony) Smith; grandchildren, Ashley (Andrew) Blankenship, Jared (Sydney) Peerce, Billy (Samantha) Peerce, Aaron Peerce, Kimberly Evans, Heavyn Newhouse, Isaiah Settle, Christina Svanna, A.J. Svanna, and Matt Woods; great-grandchildren, Serenity, Christian, Abigail, Zane, Keegan, Marleigh, Asher, Kennedy, Jackson, Kashton, Emma, Ellie, Ensley, Emory, Octavia, Zoey, Ryder, Josiah, and coming soon, Aubriella; a son-in-law, Jimmy Woods; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Services will be held at High Lawn Funeral Home in Oak Hill, WV at 1PM on Saturday, February 24, 2024 with Pastor Timothy Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call on the family from 12PM until the time of service on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at High Lawn Funeral Home.
