Betty Jo Nahodil

Betty Jo Nahodil, 92, of Jumping Branch, passed away at Bowers Hospice House, Thursday,  May 2, 2024, after a long illness.

She was born July 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Earl Olen and Mary Louise Moses Epperly.

She was a graduate of Fayetteville High School, in Fayetteville, WV, and she was of the Baptist faith.

Taking care of her family and her dogs are things she dearly loved, and she also enjoyed gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Nahodil, as well as three brothers, Doug Epperly, Myles Epperly, and Randolph Epperly, also two sisters, Shirley Shoemaker, and Barbara Muggifin.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Greg Nahodil, of Jumping Branch, and a sister, Jean Hunt, of Hico.  Also remaining are three grandchildren, Brittany Brown, Corey Nahodil, and Ryne Nahodil, and two great grandchildren, Mallorie Brown, and Bryceson Brown.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Pivont Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating.  Entombment will follow at the Highlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill, WV.  Friends may call on the family, from 12:00 pm., until time of service.  

Family will serve as pallbearers.
