Bonnie Joyce Jones, 80 of Kanawha City died September 27, 2022 at home.
She retired from Marmet Health Care Center after many years of service as Dietary Manager.
Always full of love, joy and laughter, she was a true woman of God and was a member of City of Hope Fellowship in Belle. An apropos sentiment best describes her transcendence: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” 2nd Timothy 4:7-8
She was preceded in death by Parents: Charles and Dorothy Walk Harris, Brother: Charles L. Harris and Sister: Charlotte A. Blevins.
Surviving Are: daughters: Debra (Gary) Riley of Kanawha City, Sharon (Brian) Hilman of Charleston, son: Al (Lori) Jones of Belle, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday September 30, 2022 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Pastor and son in law: Gary L. Riley officiating. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Per her wishes, she will be cremated after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to City of Hope Fellowship Food Pantry, 714 E. Dupont Ave. Belle, WV 25015.
