Faye Toy, 78, of Scarbro, passed away peacefully at her home with her daughter Brandi and Grandson Buddy by her side on June 25th, 2023.
She was born to the late Alex and Nellie Prater on June 10, 1945, in Greasy Creek, Kentucky.
Faye lived most of her adult life in Ohio, working at the GM Plant in Lordstown. Faye always had fun in life and always loved being on or near the water. She loved travelling, reading, fishing, canoeing, bird watching, long phone conversations with her brother and sisters and anything “Elvis”. She called off work once to stay home and watch his live comeback concert. But what she cherished most was the time she had with her daughter and grandson.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Glen White, Bud Brady and Jeff Toy and very close, special friend Raeford Thacker, sisters Katherine Looney and Edith Robinson, brothers-in-law, Dallas Jarvis, Paul Scott, Ercelle Robinson, Corbet Robinson and Harry Looney, sister-in-law Venita Prater and nephew, Jeffrey Scott.
Besides her daughter Brandi and grandson Buddy, others left to cherish a lifetime full of memories are sisters, Wilma Jarvis, Shelby Scott and twin brother, Bennie Prater, all in Ohio, plus many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will 1:00 PM on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill.
Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Burial and graveside rite will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
