DOYLESTOWN – Mildred S. “Millie” Oyler, age 96, passed away on January 16, 2025.
Born on June 29, 1928 in Fayette County, WV to the late Alonzo and Evelyn (Epperly) Stevens, she was a resident of Doylestown since 2005, previously of Oak Hill, WV. Co-owner of C&O Dry Cleaners, retiring on January 1, 1985 after 40 years of service, she was a member of Woodland Oaks Garden Club, Fayette study group, Mt. Hope Federated League, White Oak Country Club, The Ladies Golf Association, and the Fayette County Art League. Millie attended the Doylestown United Methodist Church and was a member of the Advent Christian Church in WV.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John V. Oyler; step-son, Lawrence Oyler; siblings, Mary, Ann, Harvey, Carol, Gerald, Danny, Drema, Forestal, Sharon, she is survived by her son, Mike (Pam) Stevens, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Martha, Virginia, Frieda, Jane, Jean (Bill), Helen (Dennie), numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Douglas Wenger and his staff, along with Millie’s wonderful caregivers Heather, Hilary, Suzie, Kim, Kayla, and Mary for their compassionate and loving care.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230. There will be no services. A private interment will be held at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill, WV at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Millie would want you to show an act of kindness to an unexpecting individual.
