RONNIE LEE CANTERBURY

Ronnie Lee Canterbury, 81, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, passed away, on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at his home in Oak Hill, West Virginia. Ronnie was born on January 14, 1943, in Summerlee, West Virginia to the late Harry Canterbury Sr. and Gertrude Seletyn Canterbury.  Ronnie was a surface coal miner at Fola Coal Company in Clay County, West Virginia.  Ronnie attended Virginia St. Baptist Church in Oak Hill. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his favorite thing was spending time with his loving family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Canterbury Jr.  Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Virginia Canterbury; a daughter, Brenda Tincher (Gary); two sons, Gary Canterbury (Becky) and Daniel Canterbury (Crystal); grandchildren, Lindsay Tincher, Alec Tincher, Chase Canterbury, Kalee Canterbury; step-grandchildren, Shawn Strosnider (Hannah), Olivia Strosnider, and Sierra Strosnider; and a sister, Ruth Ann Martin.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at High Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Doug Holley of Virginia St. Baptist Church officiating.
