Saundra Louise Tucker

Saundra Sims Tucker went home to be with the Lord on November the 3rd at 8:40 AM in Oak Hill, WV. Saundra was born on February 4th, 1950, in Beards Fork, WV to William and Betty Sims. She lived her life in Oak Hill, WV as a housewife and mother. Her greatest passions were serving God, singing, being a part of a community song fest, and going to sing at revivals. Saundra was loved by so many, and she loved with her whole heart. She always had a kind word and a smile on her face. She never met a stranger. She loved going to church and being in the presence of her Lord and church family worshipping God in song. Later in life, she picked up quilting with her good friend Sharon Conner. Her cousin Lois pitched in on that training when she could.  Saundra loved her family and friends, and they loved her. She will be greatly missed by her sister Yvonne Pacella and husband Tony, she considered and called brother, her companion John Hughes and her children listed by age John Tucker, Artie Tucker, Billy Tucker and wife Evelyn and their children, Trishia Jefferies and husband Jimmy and their children, John B. Brown and wife Toni, and Christopher Lawson Tucker and children. She loved her grandchildren and loved getting to see them. Her sisters-in-law Donna Thomas and Mitzie Holt, brother-in-law Larry Nutter, and a lot of nieces and nephews.  Saundra is now with her husband Robert L. Tucker and many other family members, and we are sure they are rejoicing.  Services for Saundra will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Oak Hill Gospel Tabernacle officiated by her friend and Pastor Sonny Craft.  Friends may call on the family from 12 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be sent to the Oak Hill Animal Shelter because Saundra loved her 2 cats.
