Tressie Evelyn Humphreys, 97, of Scarbro, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, in Oak Hill, West Virginia. Tressie was born on October 12, 1926, in Mabscott, West Virginia to the late Willie and Ada Smith.  Tressie was a retired CNA at Old Hilltop Nursing Home and a former cook at the Banker Club in Thurmond. Tressie was a member of the Daystar Worship Center. She loved to embroider, canning, and bird-watching. Tressie loved to travel, if you called she was ready to go. Tressie’s favorite thing though was to cook and spend time with her loving family and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Humphrey; daughter, Sue Kelly; Baby Humphrey; grandkids, Joey, Lewis, Ronald (Woody); great-grandchild, Shelby; sisters, Margie, Mary, and Martha; and brothers, Estel, Oaky, and Bill.  Those left to cherish her memory include; Barbara (Bill) Cumbow, Delby (Jackie) Humphrey, Johnnie (Darlene) Humphrey, Denny (Connie) Humphrey, Ronnie (Debbie) Humphrey, and Joe (Kim) Humphrey; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.  Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 24, 2024, at High Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Humphrey and Pastor Mike Kees officiating. Interment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Monday, June 24, 2024, at High Lawn Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Johnnie Humphrey, Denny Humphrey, Delby Humphrey, Nathan Remy, Jamie Humphrey, Keith Casto, and Mike Vincent.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.highlawnfuneralhome.com.
